Seven women were arrested for prostitution in an undercover sting, Sanford police said.
The operation was in response to several complaints by the community and covered a three-day period from September 26-28.
Police said, another woman was arrested for a lewd act.
The charges for five of the women were upgraded to a felony level, given that there were previous violations, investigators said.
