Join Commissioner S. Scott Boyd (District 1), on Saturday, August 13th for a fun-filled back-to-school event at Orlo Vista Park, 1 North Powers Drive from 2pm – 5pm. In addition to backpack and school supplies giveaways, participants can enjoy family-friendly activities, service and information exhibits, music and snacks.
Students must be present and accompanied by an adult to receive a backpack. Vouchers will be given out starting at 2pm on a first come, first serve basis. Backpacks will be distributed from 4pm – 5pm while supplies last.
Community partners include: Orange County Parks and Recreation, Fire and Rescue, Sheriff’s Office, Primary Care Access Network, Drug Free Community Office, Consumer Fraud, Neighborhood Preservation and Revitalization, Office of Emergency Management, Early Learning Coalition of Orange County, Orange County 4-H, and Divine Way Ministries.
