Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office deputies are searching for a missing Ontario man who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease. The man identified as, William Craig Stephen, 68 years, had just arrived at 312 Highlands Boulevard in Palm Harbor from Ontario, Canada with a friend at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, January 16, 2011.
Deputies say, the friend had gone to bed and Stephen stepped outside to smoke a cigarette, and that was the last time he was seen. His friend awoke at 8:30 a.m. this morning to find him missing. He is on foot since he no longer has a driver’s license because of the Alzheimer’s disease, and he was last seen wearing white pants, long sleeve burgundy shirt, gray and white zipper sweater, and a brown leather jacket.
Stephen goes by his middle name “Craig”. He does not know the area and it is unknown where he may be heading.
Deputies searched most of the day stopping numerous individuals who matched his description but Stephen still has not been found.
Deputies are asking anyone who comes in contact with Stephen to call the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office immediately at 727-582-6200.
The investigation continues.
