  1. My son asked Mary and I to move to another state last night so that she and I could get married for real. I told him, after being together for 16 years we are really married. He said yes but it is not legal. I said it may not be legal here in this state but in 7 other states it is and we did not need a piece of paper to be a real (legal) family. Everyone may think that things like this do not effect children but it does. He is only 8. Choose Faireness for all families in November!

I guess my 8 year old knows more than most of the Florida residents, what a real marriage looks like. Should he have to feel that his parents are not really married just because of a piece of paper. I explained to him. In 7 other states, his moms are legally able to get married and that there are so many types of families and ours is only one type. He is proud of us and I do not have to move to another state to be validated!

    Thanks for listening!
