Casey Anthony appeared in court Thursday afternoon. Her attorney wants access to all information on DNA testing done in the case.
Casey Anthony walked into the court room, sat down and smiled as she waited for the hearing to begin. George and Cindy Anthony attended the hearing and at one point, appearing to cry, George wiped his eyes.
Casey’s lawyers are fighting for sanctions against prosecutors for allegedly failing to list all their witnesses. Her family’s attorney will try to keep George’s suicide note out of the public record.
Thursday’s hearing comes on the heels of another brewing battle over jail video of Casey Anthony the day Caylee’s remains were found on December 11.
The defense is asking for all paperwork involving the DNA testing done on the evidence in the case that was taken from the scene where Caylee Anthony’s remains were found and on evidence taken from her house.
The defense also wants documents revealing the backgrounds of the experts who did the testing, lab certifications and standards.
