Deputies continue their investigation into an attempted robbery of the Fifth Third Bank on Clarcona Ocoee Road on Tuesday afternoon.
Around 3:22 PM on Tuesday, the Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call in reference to an attempted armed robbery to the Fifth Third Bank at 8259 Clarcona Ocoee road.
Upon arrival, investigators were advised that two males, at least one of them armed, were observed by bank employees entering the bank. Before they could get inside, employees were able to lock the entrance to the business preventing the suspects from accessing the bank. The suspects fled the bank on foot in the direction of a nearby convenience store.
Deputies ran a K-9 track that led to the convenience store where the track ended, suggesting that the suspects may have gotten into a vehicle and fled the scene.
Detectives said that no money was taken and no one was injured–customers or employees–in the robbery attempt.
OCSO is continuing with their investigation.
