Orange County Sheriff’s deputies are requesting the help of the public to track down the men who shot and killed another man in the parking lot of a restaurant on East Colonial Drive on early on Sunday morning. The victim is Jean Paul Torres, 31-years.
Deputies responded to a shooting at the Chito’s Restaurant at 5649 East Colonial Drive around 1:09 am on Sunday, August 8. Upon arrival, detectives found Torres in the rear parking lot of the restaurant with a gun shot wound. Torres was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center where he expired during surgery.
Detectives have said that a white midsize pick-up was observed fleeing the area. The pick-up appeared to be occupied by two large Hispanic males.
Deputies are continuing with their investigation.
