An early morning shooting today at the Pine Hills Marketplace on west Colonial Drive and Pine Hills Road, left one man injured, according to Orange County Sheriff’s deputies.
It is believed that the shooting took place around 3:30 a.m. Monday, following an argument that began in a location Downtown Orlando.
According to deputies, the victim and suspect were known to each other. The victim knew that the suspect would be at the Pine Hills Marketplace later on.
Detectives say that a verbal altercation took place in the parking lot of the shopping center which led to the exchange of gunfire between the victim and suspect. The victim was struck in the leg and transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment. He is believed to be in stable condition.
Detectives of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office are not releasing any further details on the case and are continuing with their investigation.
