A 72-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night for beating to death his 82-year-old Mother-in-Law in Indialantic, Sheriff’s deputies said.
Brevard County investigators have charged Ronald Bozik in the death of Lila Watson, 82 years, according to news reports. Detectives say that Bozik beat Watson to death in her Indialantic home on Monday night. They believe that Bozik got into a dispute with his mother-in-law over money.
Investigators said that Bozik called 911 from his mother-in-law’s home telling them that he had walked in and found Watson dead in the living room, reports Channel 6. But deputies did not buy his story. Sheriff’s deputies believe that Watson was killed in her bed and Bozik then dragged her lifeless body to the living room area to stage the crime scene.
Bozik who appeared in the Bevard County court on Thursday morning had nothing to say to reporters, as several shouted asking for a comment. He remains in the Brevard County Jail without bond.
