Man Charged with Murder for Two Overdose Deaths in Hillsborough County

A man was charged with murder following two overdose deaths in Hillsborough County.

On July 6, 2024, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies found 41-year-old William Jackson and 36-year-old Amanda Stephens deceased of a suspected overdose inside their residence near the 800 block of Richmond Street in Gibsonton near Tampa.

Through investigative means, detectives determined that 36-year-old Ramero Randolph was the source of the supply.

Earlier this month, detectives arrested Randolph. According to local law enforcement, Randolph was charged with Murder in the First Degree Which Resulted From the Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance (x2).

“Drug dealers profiting from addiction that leads to death in our community will face the full consequences of the law,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Thanks to the hard work of our detectives, another drug dealer is off the streets after causing tragic and preventable deaths.”
