Suspect Arrested after One Injured in Ormond Beach Area Shooting

A suspect was arrested after one person was injured in an Ormond Beach area shooting.




Anthony Pezza was arrested in Palatka on his Volusia County warrants charging him with attempted murder, aggravated battery with a firearm, firing into an occupied dwelling, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was in custody in the Putnam County Jail with no bond. 26-year-old Pezza was booked on December 2nd.

Deputies responded to a report of a person shot around 7:42pm at a house on Linville Road in Ormond Beach.

The victim, a 36-year-old man, was transported to an area hospital for treatment of one gunshot wound to his abdomen and a grazing wound to his head. He was expected to survive his injuries.

An initial investigation indicates the victim was shot during a confrontation with two male suspects who showed up at his house to dispute a personal matter.

The Central Florida investigation remains active and ongoing, according to local law enforcement.
