An Orlando man was indicted for murder in his wife’s fatal shooting.
An Orange County grand jury formally indicted 54-year-old Armando Verdecia Carralero for First Degree Murder (with a Firearm) for shooting and killing his wife in Orlando.
On October 21, 2024, Orlando Police Department officers responded to a parking lot in the 5800 block of Lake Underhill Road for a report of a woman shot.
OPD officers arrived on the scene and found 44-year-old Yuneisy Labrada Rodriguez on the ground, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.
Investigators learned the defendant and victim were married but separated at the time.
Police determined the defendant drove to his wife’s place of employment, confronted and fatally shot her before fleeing the Central Florida scene. Authorities tracked Verdecia Carralero down in Indian River County and took him into custody.
The Orange-Osceola State Attorney’s office presented sufficient evidence to a grand jury to secure an indictment against Verdecia Carralero for First Degree Murder (with a Firearm).
