A recent traffic stop at Orlando International Airport found a modified fully automatic handgun, cocaine, and cash.
Proactive policing by Orlando Police Department’s Airport Patrol Division yielded results with this major bust at MCO.
During the traffic stop at Orlando International Airport (MCO), OPD officers seized a kilogram of cocaine, cash, and a Glock .40 caliber handgun modified with an Auto Sear. This device converts a semi-automatic firearm into a fully automatic one, according to local law enforcement.
“Excellent work by OPD in preventing the trafficking of illegal narcotics and the use of an illegal firearm,” the Orlando Police Department said.
Recently, Airport TAC officers also made two major seizures of drugs while patrolling baggage claims in arrivals, intercepting a total of 90 pounds of cannabis trafficked into Orlando International Airport (MCO).
