A 19-year-old Central Florida man was arrested for having an inappropriate and sexual relationship with a 14-year-old victim.
This investigation was initiated while Anderson was in the initial stages of the application process to become a Detention Cadet with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. He was a member of the HCSO Explorer Program from January to May 2024, according to local law enforcement.
Back in August, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office detectives began conducting a criminal investigation involving 19-year-old Kristian Anderson after he engaged in a sexual relationship with a minor.
Through investigative means, detectives learned that Anderson met with the victim through social media and engaged in sexual acts in July of 2024.
“I am outraged that someone who aspired to serve and protect this community could commit such a vile act,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Our deputies and detectives are dedicated to ensuring that those who target our children are held accountable for their crimes.”
Kristian Anderson was arrested and is now facing one count of Lewd or Lascivious Battery and one count of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation.
