Sex Offender Felon Arrested for Illegally Voting in Florida

A sex offender felon was arrested for illegally voting in Florida.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) arrested 52-year-old Victor Marshall Nash, of Miami, on two counts of voting as an unqualified elector. Nash is a registered sex offender and felon.

The charges are the result of an investigation led by FDLE’s Election Crime Unit (ECU) working with the Florida Department of State Office of Election Crimes and Security (OECS).

The investigation revealed that Nash submitted a false voter registration application in 2018 and subsequently voted illegally in elections for candidates in statewide and federal offices.

According to authorities, Nash has never received his restoration of civil rights.

Nash was convicted in 2001 of felony sexual battery on a victim 12 years old or older in Miami-Dade County and is required to register as a sexual offender.

He was arrested on an FDLE warrant on July 18th by the Miami-Dade Police Department and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in South Florida.

The case will be prosecuted by Attorney General Ashley Moody’s Office of Statewide Prosecution.

Since May, two registered Florida sex offenders have been arrested by FDLE’s Election Crime Unit for illegally voting, and in 2024 alone 12 have been charged with various election crimes such as petition fraud. Since the inception of the ECU in 2022, 55 have been charged with election related felonies following ECU investigations.
