A 34-year-old Central Florida man was arrested and charged with 50 counts of possessing child pornography.
Christian S. Petri, of DeLand, was arrested on the child pornography charges following a Volusia Sheriff’s Office Child Exploitation Unit investigation of a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
After obtaining a search warrant, VSO detectives discovered explicit videos and still images on Petri’s electronic devices which depict sexual abuse of female and male victims ranging in age from 2 to 13 years old. Detectives believe he downloaded the images.
According to local law enforcement, Petri was arrested on a warrant when he turned himself in at the Volusia County Branch Jail in Daytona Beach. He was to be held at the jail pending a first court appearance.
