At the 2024 State Science and Engineering Fair, every competing Orlando Science Charter Middle School (OSS) student placed.
Ayaan Patel placed first for Behavioral and Social Sciences and won the American Psychological Association (APA) Special Award; Anishka Jindal placed first for Physics and Astronomy; Aarit Dixit placed second for Environmental Engineering; Abigail Merchant placed third for Intelligent Machines, Robotics, & Systems Software, and won the Beusse Sanks Patent Award; Gauri Borkar placed third for Mathematics and Computational Science; Anishka Sharma placed third for Engineering and Anya Bollineni placed fourth for Plant Sciences.
Anishka J., Ayaan and Aarit are eligible for the national Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators’ Challenge, which they will compete in later this year.
OSS is devoted to enriching the lives of students with the integration of STEM curriculum, providing a diverse student population with a well-rounded educational experience.
