A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputy was recently involved in a traffic crash that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
Last week late at night, a deputy conducted a traffic stop near US Highway 301 and Ayersworth Glen Boulevard when a motorcyclist collided with the marked HCSO vehicle, according to law enforcement.
Despite life-saving measures by the Central Florida deputy and responding Hillsborough County Fire Rescue paramedics, he was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The deputy was not injured. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
