OPD Makes Arrest in 2021 Halloween Downtown Orlando Shooting

The Orlando Police Department arrested a 20-year-old in the 2021 Halloween downtown Orlando shooting, which left four people shot and wounded.




On November 1st, 2021 at approximately 1:19am, multiple shots were fired into a large crowd near 53 North Orange Avenue. Orlando Police located four people lying in the street in various places with gunshot wounds.

Officers on scene began to render aid to the victims. All four victims were transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Orlando Police immediately began to search for the shooter who fled the scene of the shooting amongst numerous people who were also running from the gunshots.

Local detectives worked extensively on this investigation to identify the suspect responsible for this shooting. On October 25th, 2023, 20-year-old Antonio Terrell Jones, Jr. was arrested by OPD and charged with Attempted Second-Degree Murder with a Firearm, Aggravated Battery with a Firearm (3) counts, Discharging a Firearm in Public (5) counts and Carrying a Concealed Firearm.

Local crime, guns, and drugs all remain problems around Orlando and downtown under Mayor Buddy Dyer. Police remind all residents to remember, “See Something, Say Something” by calling Crimeline or 9-1-1.

You will be given a confidential tip code number. Tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs may be eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000. All tips eligible for a reward are paid to tipsters using an anonymous process. Remember, if you witness a crime in progress, you should call 911.
