First Lady Michelle Obama is in a new advertisement prepared by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). Mrs. Obama joins other celebrities, namely Oprah Winfrey, Carrie Underwood and Tyra Banks, none of whom wears fur.
PETA confirmed that Mrs. Obama’s permission to use her image was not sought, as the first lady cannot make such endorsements, reported Huffington Post. But PETA did receive confirmation from the White House that Mrs. Obama does not wear fur.
PETA, according to its website, is the largest animal rights organization in the world.
