Man Flees Police, Arrested for Robbery at Gunpoint

A man who pulled into a gas station and demanded the wallet of a male victim at gunpoint, crashed his vehicle while fleeing and was arrested shortly after, Orange County Sheriff’s detectives said.

The Orange County Sheriff’s detectives reported that just before 10:00 am on January 3rd 2010, a suspect and his vehicle passenger pulled into the Race Trac at 1901 N. Alafaya Trail.  One of the men called over a male victim and demanded his wallet at gunpoint.  The suspects then fled, with the driver crashing his vehicle after a short pursuit.  The suspects then fled on foot and were captured a short distance away with the assistance of K9 and Aviation.

Detectives arrested Jimmy Jennings, 34 years.  Jennings’ weapon was located a short distance from the arrest.

OCSO detectives are continuing with their investigation.
