To celebrate Park and Recreation Month throughout July, the Seminole County Leisure Services Department invites residents and visitors to visit three Seminole County parks and earn limited edition, vintage-inspired park posters.
Upon taking photos at three different County parks, participants can earn a free poster featuring a signature Seminole County park. The posters are styled in the manner of the National Park travel posters produced by the WPA in the 1930s and ’40s. Now that’s a fun summer photo challenge!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
- Visit three (3) Seminole County parks, trails, natural lands areas, or boat ramps and take a photo at each one.
- Present photos to staff at:
- Red Bug Lake Park, Casselberry
- Sanlando Park, Altamonte Springs
- Sylvan Lake Park, Sanford
- Museum of Seminole County History, Sanford
- Choose a limited edition poster featuring Big Tree Park, Sylvan Lake Park, or the Flagler Trail.
Park and Recreation Month recognizes the benefits from park and recreation resources, including community health and wellness, environmental protection, and economic prosperity. Seminole County maintains over 40 parks, trailheads, and natural lands areas for residents and visitors to enjoy.
