An accident involving an Orange County Deputy Sheriff and a pedestrian occurred today Wednesday, December 9th around 1:45 pm. The accident took place at the intersection of John Young Parkway and Orange Center Boulevard. Three vehicles were involved.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office unmarked vehicle were traveling south on John Young Parkway JYP at Orange Center Blvd. A pedestrian was crossing east to west across JYP at Orange Center Blvd when the OCSO unmarked vehicle struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was taken to local hospital and is currently in critical condition.
Several Orange County Units are on the scene.
The Orlando Police Department is investigating the accident.
