Bomberos Field Park is Now Open

Bomberos Field Park is now open at 11485 Moss Park Road in District 4! This beautiful new park features multipurpose fields, a concession stand, restroom facilities, and a playground for the kids. “Bomberos,” Spanish for firefighters, honors our local heroes.

Orange County Firefighters from Station 77 were honored to be a part of Orange County Parks and Recreation’s Bomberos Field Park Ribbon cutting. Mayor Jerry Demings spoke at the ribbon cutting thanking firefighters for all the hard work they do and putting their lives on the line every day. The park is located right next to Station 77 on Moss Park Road.

This $6.1M community investment brings Orange County Parks & Recreation to achieving its long-range goal of building 14 multi-purpose fields across the County, set back in 2014.

“When the County embarked on this effort seven years ago, we only had six regulation-sized fields with lights in the entire County. We developed these multi-purpose fields in new and existing parks to accommodate the need for a growing population that wants to play field sports, including soccer, flag football, lacrosse and others,” said Matt Suedmeyer, manager of the Orange County Parks and Recreation Division.
