Six teens who police say, gang raped a fellow juvenile last Thursday, have been arrested.

Winter Springs police arrested on Wednesday: Tywuan Johnson, 17, Torreano Batton, 18, Jose Sims, 17, Deoante Stewart, 17, and Tolbert Alexander, 16, all of Sanford; and Marquis Pierre, 16, of Winter Springs.

The teens have been charged with sexual battery and false imprisonment.

The victim, an underaged Winter Springs High School student told investigators she was walking home from school last Thursday evening, when two of the students whom she knew, persuaded her to enter into nearby woods, nbcnews.com reported.

“As the situation developed, the victim decided that she didn’t want to participate and immediately wanted to go back to the school and leave,” Winter Springs Police Chief Kevin P. Brunelle said, NBC News also reported. “And she was at that point not allowed to leave, and was sexually battered.”

He added, “What matters is that the victim made it abundantly clear that she did not want to participate — No means no.”

Investigators worked over the week-end gathering evidence, while attempting to locate the suspects.

Brunelle said there’s plenty of evidence against the suspects, although the situation is a complex one.  Nonetheless Brunelle added that all the details will come out at trial.
