The body of a woman found floating in the Indian River, south of Titusville, has been identified as 24-year-old Jennifer Hedges of Titusville.
Investigators say, Hedges was beaten, dumped in the Indian River and placed intentionally in a manner to conceal her body.
A boater on Thursday located an object believed to be a human body and alerted deputies.
Homicide agents searched the area yesterday evening looking for evidence related to the case.
Brevard County Examiner has ruled Hedges’ death a homicide.
Investigators have not released any additional details.
