City of Orlando Hosts Haunted Halloween Activities

This walk through the historic Greenwood Cemetery showcases the graves of notable individuals in Orlando’s History.  The walk is approximately 4 miles within the 100-acre cemetery.

Greenwood Cemetery, established in 1880, is the final resting place of many of Orlando’s founding families. Some of the historical families include: Joseph Bumby, Mayor Mahlon Gore, Cassius Boone (Great-Grandson of Daniel Boone), Mayor Capt. James Parramore, Mayor Bob Carr, Mayor Beardall, T. G. Lee, David Lockhart, Samuel Robinson, Mayor Braxton Beacham, Elijah Hand, Carey Hand, Joe Tinker just to name a few.

Please call the cemetery office at (407) 246-2616 to reserve your spot.  This tour is limited to 50 people. Reservations are required.

The City of Orlando and Project Imagination have partnered to give Central Floridians a haunted evening featuring eerie ghost stories.

Creaky gates open at 6:00 p.m. and stories begin at 7:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs for listening and treats, food and drinks will be served at the event.

Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for members and children. This event is not recommended for young children.
