FDOT to select best value proposal for I-4 Ultimate project

I-4finalThe effort to reconstruct Interstate 4 in the metro Orlando area takes its biggest step forward to date.  The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is hosting a public meeting to select the best value proposer seeking the contract to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the project known as the I-4 Ultimate through a public-private partnership (P3) Concession Agreement. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 23 at 1:30 p.m. at the Orange County Public Schools Joe Davis Boardroom located at 455 West Amelia Street in Orlando.

The project includes the complete reconstruction of 21 miles of I-4 from west of Kirkman Road in Orange County to east of State Road 434 in Seminole County. The I-4 Ultimate project provides a choice to motorists by adding four tolled express lanes to I-4 while maintaining the existing free general use lanes.
