St. Johns County tops a list as the most healthy, out of 67 counties in Florida, according to a report released Wednesday which ranks healthy outcomes.
Undertaken by the University of Wisconsin and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the 5th annual County Health Rankings & Roadmaps study provides a snapshot of the health of counties across the country.
Collier (#2), Seminole (#3), Martin (#4) and Miami-Dade (#5) counties round out the top five spots.
Orange County is ranked 12th, the same position as last year.
Union County is ranked dead last (67th) in terms of healthy outcomes and is joined by Washington, Putnam, Baker and Hamilton counties in the bottom five.
The study uses data related to physical environments, social and economic factors, as well as health behaviors and clinical care in determining health outcomes.
