2014 NCAA: Teams selected to play Division 1 Men’s Basketball at Amway Center

 

NCAAfinalThe #1 overall seed University of Florida and 2013 Champion Louisville Cardinals headline the list of eight teams selected to play at the Amway Center for the 2014 NCAA® Division I Men’s Basketball Championship in Orlando. Teams include:

  • ·        #1 Seed – Florida – Gainesville, FL
  • ·        #4 Seed – Louisville – Louisville, KY
  • ·        #5 Seed – Saint Louis – St. Louis, MO
  • ·        #8 Seed – Colorado – Boulder, CO
  • ·        #9 Seed – Pittsburg – Pittsburg, PA
  • ·        #12 Seed – North Carolina St. – Raleigh, NC / Xavier – Cincinnati, OH
  • ·        #13 Seed – Manhattan – New York, NY
  • ·        #16 Seed – Albany – Albany, NY / Mount St. Mary’s – Emmitsburg, MD

Second- and third-round games will be held at the Amway Center March 20 and 22. Game times will be announced by the NCAA on March 17. Second-round games on Thursday, March 20 will feature Florida vs. Albany or Mount St. Mary’s, Colorado vs. Pittsburg, St. Louis vs. North Carolina St. or Xavier, and Louisville vs. Manhattan. All session tickets are available, starting at $198 in the Promenade Level and $258 in the Terrace Level. All session tickets provide admission to all six games staged in Orlando. Single session tickets are available in the Promenade Level, with prices as follows:

  • ·        Session 1 – Thursday, March 20 – $66
  • ·        Session 2 – Thursday, March 20 – $71
  • ·        Session 3 – Saturday, March 22 – $76

Each single session ticket will include admission to two games, with two sessions (four games) taking place on Thursday, March 20 and one session (two games) taking place on Saturday, March 22. Fans wishing to buy tickets to the second- and third-round games in Orlando should go to NCAA.com/MBBTickets. Tickets can also be purchased at on-line at www.Ticketmaster.com (search for Amway Center NCAA Basketball) or at the Amway Center Box Office, Monday through Saturday 9am to 6pm (times are subject to change on Thursday & Saturday based on game times).

Open practices for each of the teams playing in Orlando, will be held at the Amway Center on Wednesday, March 19. Practices are scheduled from 12:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Admission and parking is free and fans are encouraged to attend. Check www.CentralFloridaSports.org/ncaa for updates on practice times for each team.

This is the first time Orlando has played host to the NCAA DI Men’s Basketball Championship since 2004. The NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship was previously hosted in Orlando, with Stetson University serving as host, in 1993, 1996, 1999, and 2004 at the Amway Arena.
