Woman charged with DUI after hitting 3, in Ormond Beach

A woman was arrested and charged with DUI, after she plowed into three people near a popular bar on US-1 in Volusia County.

Troopers arrested Eunice Cich, 52, of Toronto, Ohio, as they say, she struck three pedestrians attempting to cross U.S.-1. Cich was heading southbound approaching Airport Road not far from the Iron Horse Saloon, a popular bar in Ormond Beach during Bike Week.

The 2009 Honda pick-up Cich was driving struck all three pedestrians, who troopers said, walking into its direct path.

Sherry Ann Pyle, 44, of Palm Coast, was taken to Halifax Medical Center with critical injuries. Daniel Reiley, 61, and Dale Cicero, 52, of Palm Coast, who suffered serious injuries, were transported to a local area hospital.

Cich was arrested for DUI and booked into the Volusia County Jail on a $2,500 bond.

The crash remains under investigation.
