The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts has partnered with the Florida Blue Foundation to present the Florida Blue Concert Series, which will showcase outdoor community concerts in the Center’s plaza for the 2014-2015 inaugural season.
This series aligns with the Dr. Phillips Center’s mission to celebrate all performing arts experiences and embrace every walk of life, by offering a wide array of genres including pop, rock, country, R&B, funk, Latin, classical and big band music, as well as special programming for families and children. Set in the outdoor plaza space which can accommodate up to 3,000 attendees, the Florida Blue Concert Series will present local and national acts and will be free and open to the public.
A leader in Florida’s healthcare industry, Florida Blue’s mission is to help people and their communities achieve better health, and now that mission has expanded to improving the quality of life in Central Florida by becoming a partner to the Dr. Phillips Center. This partnership designates Florida Blue as the first programming partner for the performing arts center’s opening season.

The Dr. Phillips Center is scheduled to open in Fall 2014.
