WHAT:
What happens when you combine a team of Central Florida architects, engineers, contractors and designers with about 3,000 canned goods? Canstruction® – an annual competition where teams design and build structures made entirely from canned foods … all within an 8’x8’x8’ space. The competition will be sponsored by the American Institute of Architects Orlando and the Orlando Chapter of the Society for Design Administration
At the close of the exhibit, all of the food products used in the designs will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida for distribution to pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, senior programs and low-income daycares.
WHEN:
– Build Day: Sunday, October 20
– Orlando Fashion Square mall will house the exhibit from October 20 to October 27.
