Lake County’s 2,800 teachers are expected to receive a 4.75 percent pay hike before the holiday season kicks in, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
On Wednesday, agreement was reached with Lake County Education Association union leaders on a $6 million pay packet that would give teachers $1,500-$6,850. The plan also includes across the board increases, boosts the district pay scale and will pay $150 and $300 for teachers who are ranked “effective” or “highly effective” on last year’s job evaluations.
