Jones, Fullwood to host Healthcare enrollment session

Open enrollment for the federal Health Insurance Marketplace begins on October 1. On that day, State Representatives Mia Jones and Reggie Fullwood, both Democrats from Jacksonville, will partner with Enroll America, Sulzbacher Center, Health Planning Council of Northeast Florida and other health care organizations to host an informational town hall at the Bob Hayes Sports Complex Legends Center.

“It’s critical that we communicate with those who will benefit from the upcoming health care roll out,” said Rep. Fullwood. “This enrollment fair and information forum is an opportunity for individuals, families and business owners to come together to better understand the options that are available to all stakeholders. Providing health care benefits to uninsured Floridians is one of the most important issues we can address.”

“As representatives of this community, it is our responsibility to ensure that we do all we can do to assist in providing access to affordable health care to all that qualify.  We are bringing this information to the community level where solid understanding of the impending changes is essential,” said Rep. Jones.

Certified Application Counselors, health professionals and local non-profit agencies will be on hand to help answer questions regarding enrollment in the Affordable Care Act Health Insurance Marketplace.
