The Working Together/Trabajando Juntos Coalition in collaboration with the Florida Department of Health in Orange County, the Hispanic Office for Local Assistance known as HOLA, The City of Orlando Commissioner Tony Ortiz and other community organizations invites the community to attend the Ninth Annual Conference and Fourth Lighthouse Awards to be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 9:00 am, at the Dover Shores Community Center located at 1400 Gaston Foster Rd. Orlando, FL 32812.
The conference theme for this year is “The Cycles of Life”. The goal is to present the human life cycles from birth to death. Speakers with expertise in each phase of life will engage participants and guide them through the responsibilities that each phase involves, along with community resources available for support and delivery of services during each cycle of life.
The ceremony of the 4th Lighthouse Award will take place during the conference to recognize the efforts of three community members for their outstanding work in the community.
The conference will be in Spanish, free and open to the public. Due to the nature of this event, it is requested that children not attend. Breakfast and lunch are included. Space is limited. To register, send us an e-mail to [email protected] .
