Dr. Phillips High School students, staff and teachers will be honoring those lost on September 11, 2001. Air Force Junior ROTC cadets will hold their annual 9/11 Memorial Tribute with keynote speaker Battalion Chief Dustin Pierce with Orange County Fire Rescue and participation by local first responders.
The ceremony will begin by raising the American flag to the national anthem, followed by a message from Chief Dustin Pierce, singing of the national anthem and will conclude with a moment of silence and the playing of Taps near the time the first aircraft flew into Tower 1 of the World Trade Center in New York City.
The 9/11 tribute will take place from 8:30am-9:00am at the main campus entrance flagpoles.
