A two month undercover investigation has led to the arrest 7 suspects who Sanford police say, traded cocaine and Hydromorphone for stolen property.
The investigation began in January earlier this year, after tips were received that drug dealers were operating at Coastline Park and a home located at 1015 Holly Avenue nearby.
Undercover agents bought and traded what suspects believed to be stolen property on multiple occasions for drugs. Last night a search warrant was executed and a large amount of cash and drugs were seized and seven people under investigation were arrested. They are:
· Freddy Littles, age 25, of Sanford was arrested for Possess of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Probation Violation.
· James Littles, age 53, of Sanford was arrested for Possession of Cocaine and two counts of Cocaine Sell within 1000ft of Specified Area SCH II.
· Latarius Littles, age 20, of Sanford was arrested for Possession of Cocaine, Cocaine Sell within 1000ft of Specified Area SCH II, Dealing in Stolen Property, and Smuggling Contraband into a Detention Facility.
· Latarius Littles, age 31, of Sanford, was arrested on two counts of Cocaine Sell within 1000ft of Specified Area SCH II.
· George Encarnacion, age 19, of Sanford, was arrested for Cocaine Sell within 1000ft of Specified Area SCH II.
· Dieu Marc Jules, age 24, of Sanford, was arrested for Cocaine Sell within 1000ft of Specified Area SCH II and Opium or Derivative Sell within 1000ft of Specified Area.
· Timothy Liggons, age 28, of Sanford, was arrested for Cocaine Sell within 1000ft of Specified Area SCH II.
“It is encouraging to see that we have begun to re-build the community trust that was once lost. The information and assistance that we are now receiving from Sanford residents is vital to drug enforcement,” said Sanford Police Chief Cecil Smith.
