A six-year-old boy was run over and killed by a tractor-trailer as he walked his bike in a crosswalk on Landstar Boulevard Wednesday morning, Florida Highway Patrol said.
Jaden Vasquez Vallejo, who attended Meadow Woods Elementary School nearby, was walking his bike with his brother, when he was hit by a tractor-trailer exiting State Road 417 to Landstar Boulevard.
Jaden was taken to Nemours Hospital and later died, troopers said.
Raiford Reynolds, 47, of Winter Haven, was the driver of the tractor-trailer. He was unhurt.
Troopers said, the crash remains under investigation. Â Anyone who witnessed this crash is asked to contact FHP at 407-737-2213.
