Troopers have charged the driver of a Dodge van with careless driving after she crashed into the back of a school bus on Wednesday morning in Orange County.

Florida Highway Patrol said, an Orange County school bus driven by 67-year-old Lionel Drepaul was stopped at a red light on John Young Parkway and Sand Lake Road, just after 9:30 am, when it was hit from behind by the Dodge van, also traveling northbound.

Six students from the Freedom High School who were on the school bus were taken to a local area hospital with minor injuries, following the crash.

Troopers charged 30-year-old Michelle Patrick, the driver of the Dodge van, with careless driving.
