5th Annual Lake County Motorcycle Safety Fair

The Lake County Community Traffic Safety Team (CTST) is reminding residents to make plans to attend the Fifth Annual Lake County Motorcycle Safety Fair.

The fair is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wooton Park, located at 100 E. Ruby St. in Tavares. The theme for this year’s event is “Improving Visibility on Our Roadways.” The fair, which is free to the public, will feature safety-related information on motorcycle education, safety exhibits, Florida’s Blood Centers’ Big Red Bus, free giveaways, food, motorcycle apparel, motorcycle art and local motorcycle clubs. In addition, Biker Cove Radio will be broadcasting, live from the event.

“We are encouraging residents to stop by and learn about safe driving practices and sharing the road with motorcycles,” said Sgt. Thomas McKane, Chairman of the Lake County CTST. “We encourage you to bring your entire family. This is an event everyone can enjoy and benefit from.”

The Lake County CTST is a multi-jurisdictional agency comprised of individuals representing engineering, law enforcement, emergency services, traffic-safety education, and concerned citizens. This multi-jurisdictional approach is used to solve roadway safety problems in Lake County, with cooperation between Lake County, local municipalities, other organizations and concerned citizens.
