36th Annual Winter Park Road Race 10K

The 36th Annual Zimmerman Kiser Sutcliffe Winter Park Road Race presented by Florida Hospital will be Saturday, March 23 in Winter Park. The 10k (6.2 miles) and 2 Mile options delight runners from around the state and around the country today just as it did when the race began in 1978.

Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities will convene on Park Avenue for the events starting at 7 a.m for the 2 mile and 7:30 a.m. for the 10k (6.2 miles). The free Florida Hospital Healthy 100 Kids Run starts at 9:15 a.m.

Founded by the Meridian Club of Winter Park to raise money for their scholarship program, which awards scholar-ship to area high school students, the races are the largest running/walking events held in the Winter Park city limits with over 4500 participants expected for this year’s race.

“This race is so popular because of the scenic course and park setting on Park Avenue, “says Jon Hughes, Race Director and co-owner of Track Shack Events. “It’s also a great family entertainment value considering there’s a race distance that everyone in the family can participate in – 10k (6.2 Miles) 2 Mile and kids’ distances.”

All participants receive a t-shirt, refreshments and interactive health screenings provided by Florida Hospital. Registration is required to participate. For more information or to register, run to www.TrackShack.com.
