Three persons who robbed a Sanford pizza delivery man at gun point, last Thursday, have been arrested.
Sanford Police say, Bethany Borgus, 29, Lagarian Gamble, 23, and Matthew Kendrick 18, years, robbed Charles Wood at gungpoint, when he went to deliver a pizza from Hungry Howies, on January 20, to 2311 Grandview Avenue around around 9:45 pm.
Wood told police, at he walked up the driveway to deliver the pizza to the white female, who later turned out to be Borgus, he was approached by two black males, one of whom was armed with a shot gun. After demanding money and Wood’s cell phone, the suspects fled the scene in a gold colored vehicle.
Police were able to track down two of the suspects and Gamble and Borgus were identifed at a nearby hotel. Both suspects confessed and provided information that led to the arrest of Kendrick.
Borgus, Gamble and Kendrick were arrested and taken to the Polk County Jail. They have been charged with robbery with a firearm and grand theft, among other charges.
Police believe that the suspects might be connected to three other similar robberies.
