Orange County deputies and neighboring law enforcement agencies, in a surprise overnight probation sweep arrested 10 adults and 15 juveniles, on charges of violating their probation.
Officials said the sweep was targeted toward 228 adult offenders and focused mostly on violent offenders. Â Successful contact was made with 87 offenders; 17 face charges for violation of their probation.
Juvenile offenders were also part of the sweep and deputies say, of the 88 with whom contact was made, 15 were arrested. Additionally, 12 juveniles face violation of probation charges.
Law enforcement officials also seized 59 grams of cannabis from two offenders during the sweep.
Orlando, Winter Park and Oakland Police Department participated in the probation sweep, along with the Department of Juvenile Justice and Florida Department of Corrections, Probation and Parole.
