A 24-year-old Central Florida inmate’s death is under investigation.
24-year-old Sasi Poreddy, an inmate at the Falkenburg Road Jail, was discovered unresponsive by staff on April 28th. Poreddy was transported to Tampa General Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased on May 1st.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is conducting the investigation surrounding the death of the inmate. Law enforcement stated that Poreddy’s next of kin were notified of his death.
Poreddy was arrested by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and charged with one count of Use of a Child In a Sexual Performance.
Detectives are also investigating the death of 65-year-old inmate in the Pinellas County jail.
The investigation is ongoing, according to local law enforcement.
