23-Year-Old Squats in Palatial Waterfront Boca Raton Home

A 23-year-old Brazilian is living in the lap of luxury as he occupies a $2.5 million mansion in a swanky Boca Raton neighborhood, and the police can’t get him out.

According to the Sun-Sentinel, Andre Barbosa, is using an obscure Florida real estate law called adverse possession, to occupy the 7,522 square foot, 5 bedroom, 6-bathroom, waterfront home that was foreclosed upon by Bank of America.

Police cannot remove Barbosa as no one saw him break into the home on 580 Golden Harbour Drive.  Meanwhile, Bank of America has not yet reclaimed the home, but according to the Sun-Sentinel, the Bank said, it is following a legal process.
