It is not clear yet whether wet roads, resulting from storm weather that rolled through Central Florida on Thursday night was a factor, but Orlando Police said two people were killed in a traffic crash, heading westbound on the East West Expressway.
The accident occurred east of the I-4 interchange exit, early on Friday morning.
Several of the East-West Expressway, westbound lanes had to be closed as a result of the crash. But, all lanes have now reopened, police said.
Police have not released the names of the victims, pending notification of next of kin.
The investigation is ongoing.
