Edgewater police are working to identify two bodies found in a wooded area off I-95 on Monday evening, as well as skeletal remains, believed to be those of a missing woman.
Police were led to the two bodies off Opossum Camp Road by a hiker, according to news reports.
In an unrelated incident, the skeletal remains of a missing woman not seen since July 17, were retrieved on Monday. The remains are believed to be 41-year-old Jennifer Leane Rado.
Police have taken Frances R. Gibson, 25, into custory after she confessed to killing Rado and directing investigators to where the remains were found off Maytown Road, in Oak Hill, news-journalonline.com reports.
Autoposy results are being awaited to confirm the identity of the missing woman, police said.
The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the Edgewater Police Department with the investigations.
