Around 8:15 pm, Sunday evening, Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Orange County Fire/Rescue responded to 3209 McEwan Lane in connection with an 18-month boy who had fallen from the window of the home. The window was at ground floor level and approximately 3 feet from the ground/grass landing. The child was relocated to the house by his father, while awaiting the arrival of first responder units, and CPR instructions relayed, since information had been provided that the child was unresponsive.
Upon the arrival of the Units, the child was transported by Fire Department/Rescue to Arnold Palmer Hospital where he was being treated for his injuries. The child subsequently succumbed to the injuries suffered.
Investigators will be conducting a death investigation.
