A 15-year-old Orlando boy was seriously injured on Monday evening, after he fell off of a car hood and was run over on Rockledge Grove Court, near Scarborough Drive in Orange County.
Gabriel Gilmore, 15, of Orlando, was walking toward a parked Toyota Corolla, driven by Qui Dang, 18, on Rockledge Grove Court, troopers said. As Gilmore walked toward the car, Qui Dang locked the doors.
Gilmore then proceeded to jump onto the hood of the car, at which point, Qui Dang began to drive forward.
Troopers said, Gilmore slipped off, fell in the front of the vehicle, as Qui Dang continued to drive forward, running over him.
Gilmore was taken to the Arnold Palmer Hospital with serious injuries.
Troopers said, prior to the incident, Gilmore had been a passenger in the vehicle.
While the crash remains under investigation, troopers said, charges are pending.
